DFPlayer or DF player Mini is a compact MP3 module that can be connected directly to the speaker. Module with battery power supply, speaker, keypad can be used alone, or through the serial port control, as the Arduino UNO or any microcontroller with a serial port module.

The module itself perfectly integrated hardware decode MP3, WAV, WMA’s. While the software supports TF card driver to support FAT16, FAT32 file system. Can be done by simple serial command plays the specified music, as well as how to play music and other functions, without tedious low-level, easy to use, stable and reliable.

Getting started with the Mini MP3 Player mini Player SD card voice module MP3-TF-16P

The MP3-TF-16P Player For Arduino is a small  with an simplified output directly to the speaker. The module can be used as a stand alone module with attached battery, speaker and push buttons or used in combination with an Arduino UNO or any other with RX/TX capabilities.

Step1: Hardware required

For this tutorial, the items needed to run this project are:

  1. Arduino Uno
  2. Mini MP3 Player
  3. SD Card
  4. Male to male jumper wire
  5. Resistor 1k ohm
  6. Speaker

Step2: Connecting the Hardware

After complete your circuit, connect your Arduino Uno Board to your computer via USB Cable. You can see the LED on the MP3 will on. Make sure that the SD card had been installed in the mini MP3. The format of the song must be in MP3 file.

           Step 3: Insert Source Code

  1. Download the test code and open it by using Arduino software or IDE.
  2. Make sure that you have choose the right board and the corresponding port. (In this tutorial, Arduino Uno is used)
  3. Then, upload the test code into your Arduino Uno
